Why Indian Skin Has Always Been Misunderstood by Global Skincare

Most skincare in the world was made for skin that burns in the sun, gets wrinkles with age, and heals quickly after a pimple.

Indian skin does none of this.

Indian skin tans instead of burning. It shows age through dark spots and uneven tone, not wrinkles. And when it reacts to anything, a breakout, stress, a harsh product, it leaves behind a dark mark that can take months to go away.

This is not a skin problem. This is how Indian skin is built.

Indian skin has more active pigment cells than lighter skin types. These cells are quick to react, any small inflammation, any stress, any sun exposure, and they start producing extra pigment. A pimple that disappears in a week on fair skin can leave a mark on Indian skin for six months.

Indian skin also ages differently. Dark spots and uneven skin tone are the real signs of ageing for most Indian women, not fine lines. Yet almost every anti-ageing product in the market is built around wrinkles.

And then there is the environment. Harsh sun all year round. Humidity. Dry heat. Hard water from every tap. These are not small differences, they change what Indian skin actually needs from its skincare.

For decades, Indian women have been using products made for someone else's skin, in someone else's country, for someone else's problems.

That is the real issue.
