Your Skin Does Not Need 10 Steps

A few years ago, the 10-step Korean skincare routine took over the internet. Toner, essence, serum, ampoule, sheet mask, eye cream and more. The message was simple: more steps, better skin.
Indian women took this seriously. And then spent years standing in front of mirrors at 6am, running late, feeling guilty about the steps they skipped.
Here is something worth knowing, that routine was never made for Indian skin.
Korean skincare was built for a specific skin type, a specific climate, and a culture where an elaborate morning ritual is a way of life. It was not designed for Indian skin dealing with heat, humidity, and a packed morning schedule.
More importantly, piling on too many products can actually work against Indian skin. Every extra layer sits on top of the skin. For skin that already tends to get oily and congested in warm conditions, all that layering can block pores and make things worse.
Indian skin has straightforward needs, a gentle cleanse, hydration that lasts through the day, protection from the sun and pollution, and a little barrier support. These do not need ten products. They need the right ones.
The 10-step routine is not wrong. It just answers a different question than the one Indian skin is asking.
Sometimes, doing less, but doing it right, is the smartest skincare decision you can make.
